Next up is this rare Belgian movie poster from the first re-release of William Wyler's
classic romantic period drama,
Wuthering Heights
. Based on Emily Bronte's 1847 novel of the same name, this film starred Laurence Olivier as the tortured poor stable boy Heathcliff whose love for his Cathy (Oberon) only adds to his misery. This poster is from the first rerelease of the film in Belgium in 1946, shortly after the end of the war in Europe. It is printed in the smaller immediate post-war format on the reverse of a grid of some kind which was done to conserve paper. This poster is in generally good condition and features the same striking artwork that was used on the original Belgian release poster in 1939, the year considered the greatest in Hollywood history. It does have a few condition issues but the artwork is completely intact.  This poster seldom (if ever) comes up for sale or auction and will make a great addition to your classic movie poster collection.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN/SIZE: Belgium  11.25" x 15.5"
CONDITION:
Good Trimmed Unfolded Condition. Partially Trimmed top white border. All four corners clipped and repaired with paper on reverse. A few pinholes in the corners of borders. Areas of staining at edges of borders. Printed on the back of a grid. Noticeable darkening of paper. Artwork completely intact. Originally unfolded as issued, this poster has been stored flat for the past 10 years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube.
