    H.S.B & Co. started in the late 1800's in Chicago, selling hardware and was actually the beginning of where the True Value name in tools came from until the company sold the hardware company and the rights to the True Value name in 1962.
    The scale is in vintage used condition. There is some rust and discoloration, especially seen on the face of the scale. However, it still works!! There is a small round metal plate on the back that can be unscrewed and inside you can adjust the scale to zero (or whatever number you need).
    THE SIDE PANELS HAVE THE ORIGINAL GOLD LOGO PAINTED OVER IN BLACK

    WORKS NICELY
    COULD BE CLEANED AND REPAINTED BUT IT WORKS JUST FINE RIGHT NOW
