VERY RARE and Beautiful Glossy Black 1/2 plate Photo Case for Ambrotypes, Dags, or Tintypes Manufactured by Holmes, Booth & Hayden in near mint condition. Dies for manufacture only from 1859-60. Title "VISION OF EZECHIEL" beneath the cloud and engraver HENNING & EYMANN, NY to left of fruit basket. Slight gap open on hinge side of case and 2 brass catches have broken away.
