Just out of many decades of storage in this early 20th Century portable gold or apothecary scale. Pillar is held to base with two finger screws to allow disassembly, and all the components can be stored in its drawer.  Light signs of age overall, mahogany wood case shows age and use but no cracks or breaks. Drawer has number 7208 stamped on edge.  Minor oxidation present on brass pillar and base.  Additional weights as shown will be included.  Family lore has this scale being used in the gold business of northern California.
