Listing is for one scale / Industrial Clock. Three available. This vintage springless floor scale by Kron has been converted into a functional clock. I didn't want to alter the original face of the scale but numbers can be added. It was removed from a distribution facility in Kansas City, Missouri that was built in the 1930's. I found the original patent for the scale mechanism that dates to 1918. I don't see a manufacture date on this one the other patents are from around the same time frame. It has the original glass lens thats in good shape and you can see that the chrome ring that holds the lens has some oxidation. The rest of the scale is constructed of cast iron and shows some cosmetic wear but nothing major. This would certainly be a stand out piece anywhere its placed and the base can be easily bolted down in case you have any safety concerns. This was a floor scale that weighed pallets, with all of the rest of the parts under the floor to make it functional (which I was unable to remove). Photos 5 and 6 show it with the lens off so you get a clearer view of the face. The last photo gives you proper perspective on the size. Dimensions: 300 lbs77" tall30.5" diameter of the head of the scaletakes a single AA battery I actually have 3 of these. The other 2 are in their original condition.
