Vintage 1981 Stetson The Billy Kid Brown Suede w Leather Braid & Feathers sz 7 Hat.
This fine hat is adorned with a leather braiding, that is outlined and 3 feathers, black, green and gold.
The heat is in terrific shade. The brim is not molded at all because I never wore the hat. The rope is unused to secure the hat.
Condition is used for EBay purposes  but I never wore the hat. It is size 7 🤭 I had a friend with a Sporting Goods Company that was going out of Business in 1981 and she gave me this and it was never worn.
The hat has been stored since 1981 in my closet, for 40 years.  The wear you see on the inside band is because I stored another Stetson hat (black felt Stetson Safari)  that is also for sale inside of this hat. So it has storage marks on the inside band. See 6th and 8th photo.
This hat measures front to back brim 16 inches and side to side brim 14.25.   Never molded as one does to shape a hat while wearing it.

Billy Kidd was the first american to win an Olympic medal in alpine skiing and he always wore his Stetson!
It was his trademark look in skiing around Steamboat Springs. He was World Cup winner & on Olympic team, etc.
He is part Native American. Those feather bands were real popular late 70's/early 80's with Urban Cowboy fad & Richard Petty..
