Vintage Slide Balance Hanging Beam Meat Scale 10,000 Pounds Missing Tag
This scale was just found at an estate sale with other butcher items from a family that had a meat packing house in San Fransisco in the 1930's. This scale is in overall good condition for its age and the sliding weight is in working condition but the eye hook has broken off. The numbers seem to be brass on the scale and this scale is rated for 10,000 pounds. This scale measures 39 1/2" long by 11" wide and it is marked U.S. Standard.
