Vintage Scale Weight - Solid Metal - 2 Pound Hanging Weight or Paper Weight

This listing is for a vintage scale weight of 2 pounds. It's made of solid metal, I think it's made of steel but could be iron. There is a stamp on the top, near the loop that holds the ring. It's worn and a pitted, but it looks like says "L85" with some sort of insignia printed onto... but I can't make it out.
The piece is in wonderful vintage condition. It will be heavily packaged to ensure it arrives in just as good condition as when we shipped it.
