Vintage Red Cast Iron Candy Store Scale
J. Chatillon & Son's No. 4 with Tray
This vintage John or J. Chatillon & Sons scale was used in a bakery in Central Illinois that started just after the Civil War.
It is marked No. 4 on the base and nowhere else I can see.
Original red paint has a nice even patina and it shows its age naturally.
The tray is tin that was painted the brass color years ago.
The scale measures 13" x 7" x 6". Moves freely.
