Vintage Rare Antique Cotton Tobacco Hanging Balance Hook Farm Hand Scale

This rare hanging scale is made of solid brass in the center part along with the sliding weight. It has the makers mark as follows:
G.W.V. 91 UNION ST
I wasn’t able to find much information on this company. It is a very well-made scale in perfect condition as seen in the photos. If you hang it on one of the rings it measures up to 15 Lbs. Hanging it on the other ring and the scale goes up to 55 Lbs. It measures about 17 inches long and weighs 6Lbs.
