VINTAGE ENGLISH LIBRASCO KITCHEN SCALES 7 BRASS BELL WEIGHTS ON CUSTOM STAND
LIBRASCO IS THE LIBRA SCALES COMPANY.
The scales are on their own custom made wooden stand. There are grooves for the feet and three prongs and four hollows for the weights. The base has little round feet.
There is some water where the weights fit but this is not visible when they are in place.
They balance well. Should they ever get out of balance, rather unlikely, there is a small box of ball bearings on the underside of the weights stand accessed by a screw on the top.
They have been used but the condition is good
. There is some reflection in the photos.
There is some
discolouration in the brass bowls. Brass is soft and when potentially corrosive stuff, like salt, is placed in the bowl and not wiped clean a reaction happens and the surface of the brass is affected. Sometimes it can be almost all removed but it rather depends on how long the stuff was left in there. Almost every bowl I come across has some similar marks.
They are a nice size, 15” wide, 8.5' deep and 9” high including the bowls, not taking up too much room on your worktop.

I will ship these scales from the UK. I have reviewed the delivery performance of the UK courier so far and it is between 2 and 7 days, an average of 4 days. For other destinations such as China delivery will be around 15 working days.
You may be concerned that they have to be sent such a long way but I can assure you there is no need. I use large sturdy boxes and pack all the spaces so they remain rigid. The scales are wrapped in bubble wrap and bound with cardboard and tape so they do not move about. The weights are packed separately also in bubble wrap.
I have sold many sets to the USA, Canada and Worldwide and ALL have arrived safely.
I will ship to mainland Europe and elsewhere in the World apart from Russia.
