USS Saipan LHA-2 Belt Buckle Vintage War Military Memorabilia. This belt buckle is Military Memorabilia made from the 1970s to 1980s. The buckle does show significant wear and marks on it. The buckle works as it should and everything moves and holds as it should. Its approximately 3" by 1½" in size. It has a raised a USS ship in the middle of the buckle and has USS saipan LHA-2 engraved on the front.
USS Saipan (LHA-2) was a Tarawa-class amphibious assault ship, the second United States Navy ship named in honor of the World War II Battle of Saipan. Commissioned in 1977, the ship saw service until 2007 when she was decommissioned. In 2009 the ship was sold for scrapping.
