    Description of item...
    Here we have a wonderful and well made vintage brass SPRING BALANCE TROY OUNCE SCALE with a steel top ring and steel bottom hook - made by SALTER of England. It measures approx. 9" long (add 1-1/2" for the ring and 2" for the hook) x 3" in circumference. The front top is marked with the trademark logo "SALTER" and "TROY" at the top of the scale calibrations of "0 to 100" (in increments of 2.) The back
    side is
    marked, "MADE IN ENGLAND." It has not been cleaned or polished since acquired, currently showing a beautiful natural aged brass patina. Came from a well cared for private home collection of many years, however the exact age is unknown. This item weighs approx. 1/2 lb., add 1-1/2 lbs. or so for the packing box and packing material. I combine shipping when safe and practical for all items purchased.
