Reproduction Brass Balance Beam Scale

Description

Brass balance beam scales with brass plated steel bowls.  I assume this is a reproduction and lots of brass items like this are made in India, but there is no brand or place of manufacture noted.
The overall height to the tip of the pointer is about 23", width (between the outside of the bowls) is about 21" and the bowls are about 7-3/8" diameter.  There are quite a few spots of corrosion and there is a white residue that reminds me of the residue left by brass polish from my navy days (many decades ago.)  No weights are included.
With nothing in the bowls the pointer is slightly off center.  I suspect this was intended to be decorative and not for precise measurement anyway.  The scale will be partially disassembled for shipping.  Despite this the box is large and heavy so shipping won't be cheap, but it will be the eBay calculated amount based on actual weight and dimensions.  I offer both USPS and FedEx shipping options.  Choose the one that is best for your location.
