    Here is a Belgian movie poster from the original release of the Mr.Wong mystery
    The Phantom Of Chinatown
    . This film is notable because it was the first time that Hollywood cast an Asian actor to play an Oriental detective. All the prior films in the Mr. Wong series featured Boris Karloff in heavy Asian make-up as the Oriental sleuth. For this last movie in the series, Keye Luke (former "Number One Son" to Charlie Chan) was cast as the Chinese detective and he didn't go for the stereotype accent either.  This poster is from the original release of the film in Belgium some time after the end of WWII (probably 1947 or 1948). It features  duo-tone images of Luke and Long. It is in very good condition for its age and would make a great addition to your murder mystery movie poster collection.
