    An old original 60 pound Antique Milk Scale made by Thomas Morton. I think it is from the 1920's??  Farmers in the early 1900's would weigh the milk their cows produced on scales to keep track of production.   Brass fronted scales like this one were mostly used by the government "Milk Tester" who would come by the farm and check each cows milk for fat content and to help the farmer make decisions about the herd.
    This old original Antique Hanging Milk Scale measures about 4 1/2 inches wide by about 12 inches tall and weighs about 3 pounds.
    A very rare and hard to find piece of old Antique Dairy Farm memorabilia!!
