Next up is this Belgian movie poster from the first release of William Wellman's
comedy mystery,
Lady Of Burlesque
. Based on the novel written by striptease queen Gypsy Rose Lee, Barbara Stanwyck plays a performer in a down and out NYC burlesque troupe who suddenly becomes the object of a murder investigation. Stanwyck really shows her comedic and musical talents in this fun and once forgotten film that now regularly appears on the Cinemoi channel. This poster is from the original first release of the film soon after the end of the war in Europe (probably 1947 or early 1948). This 1st release poster is in great condition and features striking artwork unique to this Belgian poster. It seldom (if ever) comes up for sale or auction.

CONDITION:
Very Good Untrimmed Folded Condition. Untrimmed top white border. A few pinholes and some minor areas of foxing or spots.  Artwork completely intact. Originally folded as issued, this poster has been stored flat for the past 14 years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube.
