. Starring Ronald Colman as Villon, this movie featured Basil Rathbone and Frances Dee in a lush production that ultimately earned it four Academy Award nominations. This poster is from the 1st re-release of the film in Belgium. It was most likely released shortly after the war in Europe (probably 1945 or 1946) since in is printed in the smaller post-war format to conserve paper. The paper is quite thin and delicate but the poster is in excellent condition for its age. The magnificent artwork somewhat mimics the artwork of the original Belgian release poster from 1937. This film was later re-released in Belgium in the 1950's with a new poster featuring much different artwork. This poster almost never comes up for sale or auction and would make a great addition to anyone's Belgian movie poster collection.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN/SIZE: Belgium  11" x 15.25"
CONDITION: Very Good Condition. Untrimmed. Overall yellowing of paper. Small tears in the fold line borders. Folded in half as originally issued, this poster has been stored flat for over 20 years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube.
