This is a beautiful species, texture is medium with a soft, silky smooth flowing figure which can change patterns throughout the pen. Heartwood is a golden cream-tan in color with an unbelievable burl grain patterns. This wood usually has more tiny birdseyes than any other burl wood.

Pen Style: ZEPHYR TWIST::  THIS IS THE NEWEST PEN STYLE I AM OFFERING, AND HAVE NAMED IT THE ZEPHYR. IT IS MY PERSONAL FAVORITE PEN STYLE.   SIMPLE  ELEGANCE IS THE ONLY WAY I CAN DESCRIBE THIS PEN. THE LINES ARE SMOOTH AND STREAMLINED JUST LIKE THE PIONEER ZEPHYR TRAIN (SEE LAST PHOTO). IT IS A RATHER LARGE HEFTY PEN.
