Here is a rarely seen original Belgian movie poster from the first release of Preston Sturges' madcap comedy,
Christmas In July
. The movie starred Dick Powell, Ellen Drew and a long list of Sturges regulars including Bill Demarest in the fourth of 10 films he made with the director. This poster is from the original release of the film in Belgium. It was most likely released shortly after the war in Europe (1945 or 1946) since in is printed on the back of another larger movie poster and in the smaller post-war format to conserve paper. It has been backed on linen and looks wonderful with its beautiful original Belgian artwork. Looks like a stone litho. This poster is in great condition for its age. It seldom comes up for sale or auction and would make a great addition to anyone's Preston Sturges movie poster collection.

CONDITION:  V
ery Good Condition On Linen. Prior to backing, this poster was folded in half and printed on the back of another movie poster. The top white border may have been partially trimmed but all borders are of equal size on linen. This poster has been stored flat for 10 years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube.
