This is an antique 24 pound hanging scale marked “WARRANTED AND MADE BY MORTON & BREMNER” from New York.  It is made from brass and iron.  It dates to the mid to late 1800s and it still works.  This information is from the Smithsonian National Museum of American History:
Thomas Morton and Andrew Augustus Bremner, both of New York, began in business in 1841, making spring balances and weighing devices. Bremner left the firm in 1855; Morton was still in business in the 1870s.
It is an estate sale find so it is sold as found.
It has some surface rust and comes with vintage dust at no extra cost.  It could use some TLC to clean it up (see cleaning note below).  Please see all pictures for condition, size, and detail.
