Antique Very Rare Desk Top Pelouze Postal Scale MFG.Co Chicago Copyright 1897.
It goes up to 4 lbs. Is 5 1/2 inches tall, 3 3/8 inches by 4 1/8 inches wide at the base.
Face reads "COPYRIGHT 1897 W.N. PELOUZE" bottom is stamped "PELOUZE SCALE & MFG CO, PAT MAR 29-1898, DEC 27 1898 MAR 14 1898"
Does have wear from age and usage (pitting, rust & stains). All of which seem appropriate to the age of this item.
No real big dents, cracks or broken / missing parts.
