    Antique Thermoplastic Union Case 6th plate, Berg #1-113 Lady With Falcon #2 (236).
    Here's a great and desirable case in near-perfect condition. The very dark brown casting has lost some luster, but the sharply raised design is just great with no nicks, chips or cracks. One hinge is loosening every so slightly and the latch does not hold securely. The outfit is just a great inside with a deep burgundy velvet pillow and a lovely ambrotype of a woman with a wide lace collar and a large cameo brooch at her throat. Super fancy oval mat and frame are in wonderful shape. (My enlarged photographs show a "marbleized" background in the image which is barely visible in the image itself, but is likely from crazing on the ambrotype surface.)
