If interested, we could ship...I would rather have picked up due to age and would not like to chance damage.  It has been around this long and deserves t be preserved.
    A little History:
From what I can remember and paper work  I have, The Computing Scale Company of Dayton OH made this scale somewhere early 1900's.  The Computing Scale Company turned into the Dayton Scale Company and was purchased by I.B.M prior to 1934/1935.  In 1934 or 1935..( I have 2 documented papers stating each year), Hobart Corporation acquired The Dayton Scale Company from I.B.M.
***What is special about this scale is I have a good copy of the 1700 set up instructions made for the end user.  This is a 3 page brochure showing set up and basic operation and parts.  Also included in this is a signed note from Hobart Corporation to the current owner signed in 1978.
As with all antique pieces, the story of where it can from is part of its mystic and history.  The winner of the auction will be the only one that hears the story.
