Antique Penn Scale Manufacturing Co Candy Store/Coffee Shop Scale Orig Red Paint

Description

Offered for sale is an antique candy store/coffee shop mechanical scale manufactured by Penn Scale Manufacturing Company, Inc. of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Penn began making mechanical scales in 1923. This scale appears to be an early claw and plate scale. The scoop and beam are made of brass. The scoop has one area on the edge that may be a stress crack. Please see the enlarged detail photo. The scale is all cast iron construction. The red paint is original. Also included is a 1 pound weight.

This all original antique scale would add historical interest to any candy store or coffee shop. It would also look great in a home kitchen or coffee bar setting.
